The isiZulu word Phumula literally means to 'take a rest' and you wont have any problems doing that with Pumula pad....any place, any time.

The Pumula pad was inspired while rafting and camping along the Umkomazi river valley of KwaZulu Natal. My friends and I wanted a comfortable but extremely robust mattress that you could just throw in the back of an open bakkie or onto the roof racks of your car without having to worry about it getting wet or dusty.

On the big rivers of the US, rafters in the Grand canyon use similar pads on multiday trips for sleeping on, relaxing on and even as cooler box insulation. We wanted to create something similar for South African conditions that could be used for camping and any other times you may need a tough mattress to lie on.

You get 50mm of firm but comfortable high density foam covered in the same robust PVC material that inflatable river rafts are crafted from. The valve is also an ultra reliable whitewater raft valve.
